LGBT rights equated to their votebank in India!!
The LGBT community in india has been ostracized since the days of the Maharajas , The british raj and now the modern era too seems to handle this community rather immaturely.
Western societies have changed their perception towards the LGBT community by allowing them equal status(in short acknowledgement of being human):
1. Social Status , by approving same gender marriages and the right to adopt kids through already layed out frame work for adoption. Also, the society no longer sees them as have-not's or people with lesser capability nor is there a sense of alienation of this community.
2. Economic Status, by considering LGBT community for jobs/businesses/enterpreneurial ventures thereby recognising them as employable or paymasters if they have the capabilities to do so.
3. Existence , by acknowledging the fact they are not affected by some infectious disease or mental condition. Infact, science has come with a rational solution as to understanding why does a member of the LGBT community is so. Apparently i am not in a position to explain but some googling will surely get you to the bottom of this one.
4. Right to love the way they really know to love.
I feel the indian psyche towards the people of this orientation needs to change!!!
To all the parliamentarians....
Please let everyone have the same rights...please grow up or die soon so that the next generation will atleast understand what people in this country are going through!!!
Instead of feeling affected that RJ's make fun of you "Royal Asses" on radio stations think how u can improve your status.
Finally, mr.Digvijay singh just got married at a ripe age of 67!!! way to go congrats sir, please think of all the Gay people hoping to follow into your shoes ....Also to add , I am not gay but i surely sympathesize with people who have been given second class treatment due to something thats not in their hands.
